Don’t Wait! Protect Quarry Farm!
Help us protect the uniqueness of Quarry Farm, the last remaining truly biodiversity-rich, open candidate wildlife park in Stamford. Objections to its development are growing, the Woodland Trust recently submitted a ‘holding objection’ based on the research we have uncovered.
Our social media campaigns have prompted local people to share their memories and pictures of this much-loved site. We want to collate and capture this knowledge and history into a book. The book will celebrate the importance of Quarry Farm to the local community and highlight its significance for nature, from orchids to badgers, this site is brimming with wildlife! Media experts are donating their time for free and will produce a documentary to amplify Quarry Farm’s story.
We are now calling on the local community, businesses, dog walkers and nature-lovers, from the young to the not-so-young, to raise funds to help produce and launch this book, along with an accompanying Quarry Farm campaign event, to make sure the message reaches Councilors in Rutland deciding about its future, so they understand how special Quarry Farm is.
Proceeds from the book and the event will go towards our Protect Quarry Farm 'fighting fund' set up to help protect this much loved site.
Be part of this CHANGE!
