    Story

    Girafficus is going to Kempsey!

We would just like to say thank you again to all you incredible people for donating £6630! to purchase Girafficus. We are hoping to take delivery some time next week and bring he back to his new forever home at Kempsey Primary School.

Over the last few weeks it's really been a team effort and I would like to mention a few people who without their help this couldn't of been possible! Thank you to Becky Wheeler who came up with this fabulous idea in the first place, to Lisa Stevens who did an amazing job behind the scenes contacting every local business and facebook group around! a massive thank you to Ann Larkin who also spend hours on social media and delivering flyers in and around Kempsey. A special thank you to Jade Hudspith who organised us all and has been an amazing support to all the team and myself especially at the Auction stopping us getting carried away and spending too much money!!

We are truly overwhelmed with the donations and support everyone has offered and how everyone has really got behind the campaign, it was amazing at the auction how many of the staff at St Richards and other bidders, artist and visitors on the night had heard our story and it's just so exciting to be welcoming our new Giraffe to Kempsey.

Our newest edition to Kempsey primary is going to take pride of place and we are thoroughly delighted with our Giraffe and we have a new Warrior in fitting tribute and in loving memory of Rev Baynes who was a real Warrior.

Thank you all so very much

In loving memory of Matthew who was such a warm, generous and compassionate friend. He shone as a beacon in our community - a giraffe is such a fitting tribute.

Only just heard; I’m so sorry for your loss Bryony and family. My children Lance and Helena were at Ashton first school and always enjoyed Mr Baynes’s visits. A smashing fellow! He’ll be sadly missed.

What a lovely thing to do. We never met Rev Baynes but he sounded like a lovely man. Lucy works with Bronwen so we thought we would try and help out as best we can.
