Story

Dear Defib Friends, we need your help to raise funds for the purchase of defibrillators, cabinets and essential kit such as replacements pads and battery packs. We set up Public Hearts nearly 5 years ago with a goal of placing a public access defib every 200m along Cheltenham High St and surrounding areas. We are fortunate to benefit from great generosity so far and have already placed nearly 30 defibrillators in the Cheltenham and wider communities to help someone in the event of a cardiac arrest.

Looking forwards, ongoing support is just as important as initial and we also would like to support more businesses in making their existing defibrillators public access.

We're currently receiving enquiries and appeals for support with new batteries and pads, which are vital parts.

When Public Hearts was set up in Dec 2018, there were no public access defibs in Cheltenham town centre to support a population of 118,000 and all our visitors. Thanks to team work and the generosity of the Cheltenham community, as at May 2023 we have increased Public Access Defib numbers to an incredible 54!

What an amazing achievement, thank you to everyone for supporting this campaign to help someone when they need it most.
