Story
On 15th March 2017, our friend Jo gave birth to a son, Puck, at 40 weeks +9 days after a dream pregnancy. Due to complications during labour, Puck was born via emergency c-section and needed to be resuscitated. He was transferred to University Hospital Southampton Neo-Natal Unit but tragically died in Jo and Matt's arms early the following morning.
As avid lovers of nature, Jo and Matt are fund raising to buy a woodland in his name. This will not only help with the long grieving process that lies ahead for them, but will also offer a place of refuge for other families who are going through similar tragedy.
Kate, Anjana, Jo and myself are running the Great South Run to contribute to their efforts to make the woodland a reality in memory of Puck.

7 years agoThank you all for your amazingly generous support. We all made it! And we have, with your help, been able to contribute to Puck's Promise and its' wonderful ambition. For those interested in the stats - Anjana sped to the finish line in just 78 minutes, Laura managed to beat her target by finshing in 1 hour 28 minutes and Jo and Kate ran it together in a time of 1 hour 52 minutes. We might even be back next year to do it all again, drop us a line if you fancy joining us!
