Story
We are raising £1,200 for Pure in Heart London
"The body, in fact, and only the body, is capable of making visible what is invisible: the spiritual and the divine. It has been created to transfer into the visible reality of the world, the mystery hidden from eternity in God, and thus to be a sign of it” (TOB 19:4).
Pure in Heart London (PiH London) is an international Catholic movement of young adults who, through prayer and friendship strive together to learn, live, share the truth, beauty and meaning of human sexuality, and more importantly through the focus of Theology of the Body (TOB) by Pope St. John Paul II. We gather together every Wednesday at Maria Assumpta Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration, followed by a talk (TOB or not), and socials (at the venue and also a pub nearby). It has been a fantastic group for people to not just mingle and meet, but more importantly to encounter the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist, dwell deeply in his real presence, and (if possible) learn more about TOB.
"For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him." (John 6:55-56)
However, everything good comes at a cost, and PiH unfortunately does not escape this brutal fate.
For us to continue hosting speakers, talks, retreats, and to continue our mission as Pure in Heart in the upcoming year, we will need to raise at least £1200. Therefore, we are currently trying to raise funds to keep on running the group for the next year (and beyond). Whether you've been to PiH London or not, please feel free to support us! If you have not been and saw this message, feel free to also donate, but more importantly, come visit us on Wednesday, 7pm, at Maria Assumpta Chapel!
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, and God be with you! Please keep us in your prayers, and don't underestimate the power of your prayer!
In Christ,
Pure In Heart Core team
