The village of Purley on Thames is raising £900 to install a "Lest We Forget" memorial bench to honour the Centenary of the end of the Great War.

The villagers are running many events to mark the memorial and this bench would be a fitting and lasting memory of the Centenary.

Many thanks for the fantastic response - we have now exceeded our original total and are able to realise our aim of providing a Lest we Forget bench for Purley on Thames. This page will be closing today. Many thanks again.
