Story

Kevin is running the Manchester Marathon to save Kilo. Kilo is a gentle dog who has never harmed a soul, however, because of his appearance he is a victim of Breed Specific Legislation. He has already been added to the Index of Exempt dogs at DEFRA, as he is on the index he is not allowed a new owner, unless in very exceptional circumstances.

In May 2018, Kilo found himself back in police approved kennels through no fault of his own. Since then he has been allowed no visitors, other than police or kennel staff. The police agreed to allow us to find a suitable new owner for Kilo, for which we are extremely grateful. A new owner has now been found and approved by the police, a court hearing is set for March 2019, unfortunately, because of the length of time Kilo has been in police custody, the kennel fees owed are £3,800.

Please help us to save Kilo by sponsoring Kevin Ripley as he runs the 26 mile Manchester Marathon in April to raise funds for these kennel fees.
