Ahoy from the Pitsford Pirates!

The Pirates are a spirited crew of 8–16-year-old sailors and windsurfers based at Northampton Sailing Club. Guided by passionate volunteer instructors and former Pirates turned youth assistants, our passion is helping young people discover the joy of sailing and windsurfing, come rain or shine!

Every week, our Pirates show up with determination and enthusiasm, progressing from nervous first-timers to confident racers. Many go on to represent the Club at regional events and even World Championships! Whether they’re beginners, improvers, or seasoned competitors, our Pirate crews build confidence, friendships and skills - sailing, windsurfing, collaboration and coaching to name but a few.

Watching these transformations is incredibly rewarding. Year after year, we see what’s possible when young people are supported by dedicated leaders, families, and friends. But to keep this momentum going, we need to maintain and upgrade our equipment—and that’s where you come in.

Introducing the ultimate challenge: QUEST FOR PIRATE GOLD!

On Sunday 12 October, our fearless Pirates will take on a series of daring on-shore and on-the-water challenges. They will be forced to work hard to win the loot via a series of team tasks, with the winners getting to decide which brave Pirate will have to walk the plank!

It’ll be tough. It’ll be cold. It’ll be gloriously wet.

And it’ll be unforgettable!
