In 2009 my husband took over a women's only gym in Leicester, in the hopes of trying to make his dream for building a healthier nation and help women of different cultures, who wouldn't go to a mixed gym, come true. Unfortunately, luck was not on his side as he had a number of incidents which led him into financial difficulty, including a very demoralising power surge, which left the business closed for months whilst work went on to repair the damage and debts racking up. Despite the difficulties, he carried on trying to build the business alone with very little help and finances. He worked a full time job as well as trying to run the business so that he could put funds into it to keep it going. In 2016, after suffering some very difficult personal circumstances as well, we decided it was time to either sell the business or invest and take it further. We decided we did not want to let our members down and so invested. Now we want to take the business even further for all of the women in Leicester but need help in doing so.
