Story

As many of you no Archie was born at 27 weeks weighing just a tiny 2lb 2oz
He had sepisis and pneumonia at birth which led to many complications he was on life support for 32 days and during this time developed grades 3 and 4 brain bleeds. Despite all this Archie was still continuing to fight even tho all the doctors agreed that the best plan for Archie was to turn his life support off as I was torturing him.by keeping him alive as he would have no quality of life. I refused to end my son's life and acted as his voice he was on hospital a total of 16 weeks and during this time he had 2 brain surgery to fit a vp shunt to drain the fluid from his brain caused by the brain bleeds and master eye surgery to save his sight... on the 26th November 2014 Archie was discharged from Birmingham Children's.
Since then we have had a constant fight with the nhs to get Archie the help and support he needs he is now 3 and only just sorted him a physio. He is doing amazing he crawls and walks around furniture and starts mainstream school in September but we have now came across another problem with the nhs Archie needs a wheelchair to help him get around at school and with day to day activities but the waiting list is 6 to 12 months just for a assessment and been told that the only way we will get him a wheel chair any time soon is to self fund so I have set up this page to see if anyone is willing to help Archie xx
