Zak is 9 years old, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer in July 2022. After 6 months of treatment involving chemo and radiotherapy unfortunately a year later the cancer returned.

Zak is a very outgoing and strong headed individual. Before his diagnoses Zak was heavily involved in football and played for two football teams. Golborne sports and Leigh united. Before his football career he played for Leigh RUFC. Zak is a natural sportsman and very quickly established nicknames such as the mini Paul Scholes and the duracell bunny.

During his time spent in hospital zak has built up a bit of a bucket list, ranging from visiting a water park to going to IMG park in Dubai. To help his family achieve his dreams, I am helping to raise funds towards his bucket list goals by running the Jubilee Bridge Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd June 2024.
