We set up lilas light in June 2024. After loosing our 5 year old daughter Lila to meningitis. After loosing Lila we noticed the lack of support siblings were offered when a tragedy like this happens. We wanted to provide extra support for them. We provide hospitals and the wider community with bereavement bags for siblings who have lost their brother and sister. The bags contain gifts and guides on grief, to help a child process their loss whilst at the same time help to remember and honour there loved one. There are tools and resources for parents and can also be a good guide for professionals or teachers involved with the siblings on navigating such a difficult time.

On the 26th July 2025 we take on Ben Nevis. Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland with an elevation of 1,345 metres. With scrambles and rock climbing for all abilities.

We would love to continue are fundraising in the hope we can carry on providing bereavement bags to families that are unfortunate enough to go through child loss.
