I am working with others to establish a new record label, based in Merseyside initially (but hoping to expand later) to create work and jobs for people; save them going to food banks and offer secure paid, positions so as the people may not only feel inspired each and every day but will not suffer poverty, depression and homeless.

I myself, had a very difficult upbringing, moving school 18 times around the country and prayed many nights as a child 'without a voice' that I could one day change things for other 'children like me'. That I could one day stop my mother crying (she had been a severely abused child and alcoholic but even after getting sober was 'damaged' by her upbringing. She passed away in January 2010. After her death I was extremely depressed, spending a year homeless and no longer wanting to live. I came round on pavements in London and no longer loved myself. Drinking, and now critically ill, I did not have long to live. I finally attended a 12 step recovery program in London and someone said words outside of the meeting that night that saved my life. They sowed a seed of faith. My recovery took much introspection and was a very spiritual journey but weeks after he said those words, I got up from the steps of the hostel in London and began to help the other women who also had tales of tragedy.

I went to the charity Crisis Skylight in London and began to write my album, October Moon. I had been a professional singer already...I knocked on church doors all over London, with no money and a mobile with many times, no money, wanting to save the people who deserve to live.Today, I still (in private) help those who suffer in silence, especially late at nights on dark and cold streets where there is no one watching. I tell them my story. I always will. Because I understand that it's not about money, it's really about saving human life. And we all have a story. This is just mine.
