I am Rachana Dhaka and have been offered admission into MA Criminology and Criminal Justice course at Keele University, UK, beginning from September2021.During my law school I maintained an excellent score with 8.66/10 CGPA in my B.A.LL.B at RMLNLU. Later, worked for education of village girls b'coz my journey for higher studies was full of struggles.
I have a GBP5000 Excellence Scholarship & GBP1000 Developing Countries Scholarship from Keele University. However same is not enough for GBP 22000(approx.) annual tuition fees(16000)for course & hostel charges(6000).
While I am currently seeking some bank loans i.e. around GBP5000, and GBP5000 have been lended by some friends, so need to seek your help for GBP6000. I hail from a small village & a first generation woman to pursue law or go out for higher studies, in area where underage marriage was established practice till previous generation. Without support, it will not be possible for me to pursue this once in a lifetime opportunity.
In 2016 I was selected as a TISS fellow to work for the Empowerment & Legal awareness action program with the Nomadic/De notified communities in Sikar, Rajasthan for 3 yrs.My work for last 6-7yrs, was awarded by DM Sikar & nominated as Brand Ambassador for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Sikar. I am also connecting village girls &NT/DNT children with schools. I have also applied for Chevening scholarship where I was selected among 5500 candidates for interview out of 63000 applicants from the world, but unfortunately could not be finalist.
Though i was in the UK after marriage but because i wanted to study, domestic violence started and after some brutal incidents i had to leave & now to come back to study i need your help.
At present, I am trying to help NT/DNT communities during pandemic so that they don't sleep hungry.
After studies, I will continue helping people & raising their issues by writing & research. I further plan to set up a legal aid clinic to secure Justice for All.
