I've raised £500 to To get Scouts & Guides to the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia 2019

The World Scout Jamboree is a once in a lifetime event that allows scouts and guides from across the world to meet at one large event. It is designed to allow attendee to experience peace, friendship and adventure. It happens once every 4 years and next year over 40,000 scouts will be attending making it larger than the Olympics.
When Scouts/Guides join together to Unlock a New World, we give ourselves the chance to start over as members of the global community and to work together for mutual gains that improve everyone’s situation.
To offer this opportunity, we need to raise as much money as possible to cover the cost of travel, kit and to support the Scouts Solidarity Fund. The fund supports the development of Scouting in Sierra Leone, Armenia and Papua New Guinea, as well as our branches in the Caribbean and South Pacific, to attend the World Scout Jamboree.
My fee will partly fund my attendance however more importantly allow other Scouts from less fortunate countries across the world to attend and 'unlock a new world'
Discovery of the New World (theme of the camp) will be met with open arms as Scouts step out of their comfort zones and into the mixing bowl that is North American culture. We are told that we will leave with a wider view of the world, a deeper understanding of North America, and a renewed commitment to Scouting/Guding as a whole.
