I've raised £7000 to buy a minibus for my son's school to stop them missing out on opportunities to participate in school competitions and external activities.

Story

Recently his school have successfully put together a very committed and talented football team, athletics team and netball team. The skills of the children have excelled immensely and as a result they have been invited to compete in competitions within a wider region of the West Midlands. However, as to date the transportation of the children to the events have been heavily relied on by the volunteering of parents, but with the growth of their success the demands are now far greater than the number of parents who are able to volunteer due to work commitments and means of transport.
Unfortunately , this has resulted in the decision to decline invites to certain events which is very upsetting for the children who have worked exceptionally hard and enjoy interacting in the events, it is also demotivating and causes the progress of their talents to become stagnant or lost. To prevent the children from being permanently excluded from activities the school and parents are making the effort and commitment to pay for transport hire, but has you can imagine this is not cost effective and it also hinders the school from being able to save to afford their own transportation.
As a result we are pleading for your support to a good cause. Please help us continue to support these children by allowing them to use their energy constructively and positively and be able to enjoy and excel in activities with other schools, which will also will enable a more positive social engagement and a safer community as children from different schools cultures and backgrounds interact through the love of sports.
