Weʼre raising £1,000 to help fund a teaching trip to Uganda.
- Manchester, UK
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
In February 2019, I will be travelling to Uganda with Ugandaid.
The main purpose of the trip is to build relationships between my school, Broadheath Primary School in Altrincham and a school just outside Jinja. We currently sponsor a child over there, so I am super excited to meet him, as well as the amazing staff and other students. I will be teaching over there, which I am sure will be a huge eye opener (90 children in a class, 1 teacher, no TA), as well as decorating the school, meeting with local villagers and helping to build homes.
I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to cover travel expensives, my accomadation and food and money for projects when I am over there.
As well as this Just Giving page, the children of Broadheath will be coming up with lots of fundraising events... watch this space!

About the fundraiser
I am a teacher at Broadheath Prinsty School, Altrincham. For the past year we, as a school, have been sponsoring a child’s education over in Uganda, through Ugandaid. An opportunity came up to visit Uganda and build relationships with a school. I am lucky enough to be going.
