I've raised £20000 to support Steve Brown's Family, in his memory.

Like me I'm sure you are devastated about the tragic loss of Steve Brown, who died suddenly from Sepsis on 22nd October. I know many of you would like to help Kathryn and their children - Joel (18), Anya (15) and Silas (11) - in any way you can.
Those of us who were privileged to know Steve, will know that he and Kathryn have selflessly given the last 11 years of their time and energy, to help and nurture orphaned teenagers in Uganda. Steve’s income was covered by charitable donations, and so now, at this time of tragedy, there is no employer's benefit kicking in, to support the family. As Kathryn's oldest friend and along with her family, we're launching a fund to help them financially. Some tangible help for the future, while they try to recover and re-build. Whatever we raise won’t come anywhere near to matching the gifts of time and love they’ve given those teenagers and indeed all of us over the years, but it will help them immediately with the practical needs they have right now – cost of living, travel and so on – while providing some support for the children's education needs. It will also act as a buffer for the long term future financial demands Kathryn will be facing. The money will go direct to Kathryn to be used at her discretion. I don't know a more loving, generous-hearted, selfless family than the Browns. Let's match that generosity of spirit today, and help give them a more comfortable future. Please do give what you can - no amount is too small, and do share with all those who knew and loved Steve. Thank you so much.
