    Story

Baba and I met around 7 years ago. He is Nigerian but had been living in Germany for a long time. He was married in Germany and has three children. He had a good life with his own company but it all started to go wrong and his marriage broke down so he fled to the UK to start a new life. Nigeria was not an option as his family had disowned him because he had converted from the Muslim faith to the Christian faith and had actually had threats on his life by members of his family.

He has been in the UK for a few years when we met whilst he was helping a friend renovating a house in Norfolk. It was love at first sight for both of us and considering I had been married previously to an Irish conman who had left me penniless I was not looking for a relationship however I fell head over heels in love as he did. He explained to me that he had fled to the UK with no papers which meant that he was an illegal immigrant. So we decided to contact the Home Office to get this sorted.

That was 5 years ago and we have won our appeal against the first
Refusal of his case. The Home Office appealed and we ended up in court in London for a stupid technicality. The original Judge had forgotten to put that we were married in her reasons for the Home Office losing although she had put it in her summing up! We now have to start the whole process again.

We got married on 4th July 2015 with no family as my family do not agree with it. Unfortunately in hindsight I should have told them because when they found out we were evicted from our home as it was my parents barn. There has been a big rift in the family because of it, when i actually needed some support and help.

Baba suffers from serious mental health issues which are under control with medication but they won't get any better. Having the legal stuff hanging over us doesn't help and now we find that we have to start again and we need help to pay the legal costs so that we can properly start our married life together.
