Story
Just over a year ago, one of our lovely rainbows was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Since that day she has amazed us. At the age of 7, she is checking her own blood sugar levels and self injecting her insulin. She has continued to be a happy and active child and not once have we heard her complain about why her!
This is an illness that will stay with our Rainbow for the rest of her life or until they eventually find a cure. She will have to inject herself several times a day for the rest of her life just to stay alive.
Throughout the last year, she has been supported by a wonderful local charity called Type 1derful who arrange trips and events for children with diabetes. Now 1st Cwmafan (St. Michael's) Rainbows would like to show their support for Phoebe and type 1derful. We will be participating in an hour long sponsored bounce at 'toots n bounce' and would appreciate any donation for this amazing cause. Any amount WILL help!
