Story
I am excited to say that in June 2018 I will be travelling to Uganda in order to provide essential healthcare and education to children and young people. This will be my third year elective placement and will complete my nursing studies which I am thoroughly enjoying.
Over four weeks I will visit various locations such as the capital city Kampala, Hoima and Kasambya where I will spend time with local communities, visiting homes, hospitals, clinics and schools in order to gain an insight into the various challenges to healthcare access and provision.
I will be covering the cost of the trip however hope to raise £1000 towards funding vital treatment through three main Ugandan charities; Kiddies Support Scheme (KiSS), Hands for Hope and Kids Club Kampala who support the most vulnerable children and families living in Uganda.
All donations greatly appreciated.
