We are raising £1,000 for babies born prematurely or poorly and needing to spend time on Russell’s Hall Hospital’s Neonatal Ward.

On Tuesday 1st July 2025 our baby Ted arrived in the world. He was delivered 7 weeks prematurely by emergency c-section after mum, Rachel, developed severe pre-eclampsia. He went on to spend just over 4 weeks on Russell’s Hall Hospital’s Neonatal unit. The intensive care he and Rachel received was absolutely phenomenal. The entire Neonatal team; consultants, nurses, midwives, charity workers and cleaners contributed to their care. They became family as they delivered round the clock care to our baby and supported us through this hugely traumatic time.

We will be forever grateful for everything that they did for our family and we want to give something back to them.

Our eldest son, Max, has decided to do a sponsored bike ride. He rides at Halesowen Cycling Club so his ride will take place at the track, supported by fellow riders. He will ride 1km for every day his baby brother Ted spent on Neonatal - 29 in total, which equates to 73 laps of the track. The date for this event is to be confirmed as it is weather dependant, but we are looking at a Saturday after the Easter holidays and we would love it if you could come down to the cycling track to cheer Max on and even join him for a couple of laps.
