£1,000raised of £500 target by 50 supporters

Weʼve raised £1,000 to help young people and adults change the way they think so that they can radically alter their outcomes in life.

Funded on Monday, 27th August 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

It’s been a thorn in my side for many years, and now, finally, I am removing it – cycling Lands End to John O Groats.

I’m not sure I’ve quite appreciated how long our country is and how far I will be cycling each day. But I like a challenge, and that’s certainly what it’ll be!

I’ll be cycling between 64 and 86 miles a day over 12 days, starting on 3 June 2018.

This is a personal challenge. However, I’m taking the opportunity to raise money for a charity – be it £10, £100 or more every turn of the pedal (and every wince in the saddle) will benefit others.

I’m raising money for GRIT – an amazing charity that is committed to the belief that when you change your thinking, you can change the world…I hope my cycle will be a small demonstration of this.

More details of the charity can be found here As they’re not registered with JustGiving I am raising the funds personally and will then pass on any monies once I have completed my cycle.

If you'd like to support positive change, please do donate. Thank you for reading and for your support.

To everyone who so generously donated... ...since I completed my Lands End to John O Groats Cycling Challenge I have agreed with GRIT that the £1,015 raised will be match funded to become £3-4000 to help 180 'at risk' young people in East London through GRITs 'tough love' personal development & coaching approach. Every donation will therefore make a notable difference to the lives of many young people. So a huge thank you once again - for supporting the young people at risk and supporting me on what has been a very rewarding journey.

It's almost 2 weeks since I was at John O Groats. It's a somewhat distant memory, although the legs remind me from time to time that they are welcoming the break. I am delighted to say that donations are still being made - including money given by hand we have raised £957 so far. It would be an amazing conclusion to the challenge to reach £1000. This is an opportunity for those who have said they want to donate to do so and then I can take the next exciting stage of talking to GRIT to find out how the money might be spent. Thank you, everyone!

66 hours pedalling & 932 miles. But until yesterday I'd not pedalled in 60mph winds. 85 miles covered but with the wind so strong to repeatedly blow me to the other side of the road (& off into a verge!) I probably covered more. It was scary-no doubt. Suddenly people questioned completion so every bit of teamwork, donation & message came into it's own. I am limited with words here & could tell you so much more. It was an incredible trip & I cannot thank you all enough. Thank you for coming on the journey with me. It has been a lot of fun!

This is to ensure that you reach your stretched target of £1000. What an amazing achievement and I am really envious of you riding through Scotland. It is so beautiful, but no doubt was also tough.
