Story

On Sunday July 1st myself and Chris, along with other members of Hawarden Park CC will be doing the Lyke Wake Walk. This consists of walking at least 40 miles across the North Yorkshire Moors, in under 24 hours!

The reason we're doing this ridiculous walk is to raise money to build an all weather net facility at the club. This will allow all the teams to train more often and will provide the junior teams with many more opportunities. It will also help with the promotion of women's cricket in the area, as we are currently the only competitive ladies team in North Wales.

After being asked to leave the old Castle Ground, the ground staff have done an incredible job to make the new ground what it is today. However it has the potential to be one of the best grounds in North Wales and the nets are a big part of this.

Thank you.
