Two years ago, l was gifted not one but two organs which gave me my life back. Every day l am thankful and try to live my life to the fullest in celebration.

Despite my fear of heights, I will be climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge (summit style!) on Friday 17th October to raise money for the Transplant Team Wales. They heave helped me grow in confidence and meet so many others who have had the gift of a donor. With every single step whilst on that bridge, l will think of my donor and for his loving family left behind.

Tim Trawsblaniad Cymru (Welsh Transplant Team) is a proud and passionate group of transplant recipients, live donors and supporters who come together each year to take part in the British Transplant Games – a national event that celebrates the power of organ donation and the resilience of those whose lives have been transformed by transplantation.

Tim Trawsblaniad Cymru has a proud record of sporting and personal achievements at the British Transplant Games. Over the years, our athletes have returned home with numerous medals across a wide range of events – from track and field to swimming, cycling, and more. But for us, the Games are about far more than competition. They are about community, recovery, and gratitude. Each member of our team is an ambassador for organ donation and a living testament to the generosity of donors and their families.

Your donation will help:

- Support athletes of all ages and abilities in travelling to and participating in the British Transplant Games

- Raise awareness of organ donation and encourage more people in Wales to register and talk to their families

- Promote active recovery, wellbeing, and community for transplant recipients across Wales

Every pound raised goes towards accommodation, team kit, and outreach to make sure as many people as possible can take part, regardless of financial circumstances.
