What is crowdfunding?

Story
On the 18th of June 2017, I will begin my journey to Argentina for two weeks in order to volunteer with children from disadvantaged families and poor backgrounds. I will be staying with a host family in the city of Cordoba and travelling each day to a local children's care center. In order to do so I need to raise £3000 by the 1st of May 2017 to ensure all preparations are made for my departure.
