My mum in law sadly passed away in July this year from a severe and sudden stroke. The following few days were intense with emotion in which I shared in the privilege of washing my mum in laws body as preparation for her burial. This moment will remain with me as the most beautiful sense of peacefulness. To complete the journey I flew to Bangladesh where she wished to be laid to rest.

In her memory I plan to start a women's refuge in Sylhet, Bangladesh. My mum in law was kind, compassionate and committed to helping and supporting the poor and vulnerable in her local community. I will always remember how she first welcomed me into her home treating me as her own daughter, I wish to share her kindness through this project.
