I've raised £1000 to For both Newcastle Hospitals Charity and South Tees Hospital Charity.

As most of you may know I was first admitted to James Cook University Hospital on the 3rd of April 2020, positive for Covid and also had acute a Pancreatitis. I was move to the Freeman hospital in late April as they were the specialist for Pancreatitis, whilst there I was part of some research into Covid and it’s relation to causing pancreatitis, the current evidence although not conclusive is strongly linking the two. I then returned to James Cook in Jan 2021 for 3 months rehab befor discharged home on 29th April.
Anyway, I am now home however living down stairs, requiring help with all activities of daily living, mainly being hoisted, my leg muscles have wasted away after my 13 months in hospital. I am currently unable to stand or walk.
So on Monday 17th May, my dad and uncle are going on a cycle, across the north east, this is just something they do for fun. I have just purchased one of those mini motorised exercise bikes, I can use whilst sat in my wheelchair, and am going to try my very best to cycle along with them, they will be doing about 40 miles a day, which I might not mange in the same time scale, but we will keep you updated along the way with information about how my cycle and Dad and Uncles Peters Cycle is going. I wanted to raise money for 2 charities however just giving would not let be do that with a direct link, so this money will come to me and then i will spilt it and donate to both south tees and newcastles hospital chairities.
