Christmas Day Swim in aid of Malawi 2018 trip
On 25th December Rachel and her Uncle Tony, will be braving the cold waters of the sea at the annual Exmouth Christmas Day Swim, 11am, Exmouth Beach.
They would be grateful for your help by giving a small contribution to this swim which will go towards Rachel’s fundraising for her school trip to Malawi in July 2018.
Whilst in Malawi Rachel will spend the first 10 days of the visit living and working in the village of Mtunthama in the rural Central Region of Malawi. The community of Mtunthama is centred around the Anglican church and Hospital, AMAO Orphanage, the Primary school and our partner school All Saints Community Day Secondary. Rachel will have the opportunity to work on a number of community projects, such as building and decorating school classrooms, helping in the orphanage or kindergarten and doing lab work in the hospital. Rachel might be involved in repainting classrooms and to building new classrooms at local primary schools, and running sports events for local children

6 years agoA huge well done to Rachel and her Uncle Tony for braving the wind and grey weather and taking part in the Christmas Day swim at Exmouth. Thank you to to everyone who has supported them and donated to Rachel’s fundraising for her Malawi trip she has raised over £350 today and reached over her target of £2,200. Rachel I am so proud of you for setting your sights of doing this a year ago, we’ve had many ups and downs this year that we never expected, but you’ve excelled and done so well, your dad would be so proud. Love you loads xxx

6 years agoWow! With a week to go we are so grateful for all the support and generous donations. Rachel and Tony are busy preparing themselves for the big event - they’ve stucked into a Christmas dinner today - well they need to fuel themselves! They are sure the wetsuits will fit! If not this will be fun! Jenny
