Story

In September Cliff and I will be visiting Takis dog shelter in Crete, Greece.

Taki is one in a millions and dedicates his entire life to rescuing animals. He currently has up to 300 dogs, some cats and 2 goats, all have been rescued from appalling circumstances and given a second chance at life. His shelter runs entirely on donations. He posts receipts of every penny where the money goes and also has a mass of followers all over the world that donate to his shelter as well as visiting and adopting. Please take a look at his Facebook page and website for more information and stories about each animal he rescues and watch their magnificent transformation.

Whilst on our visit to the shelter we will be volunteering looking after the animals and the surroundings. We would also like to take some donations over with us to help pay for all the medical care, neutering, medication, food and shelter. If you can, please spare the cost of a coffee to help keep this amazing shelter running.

We are able to take some physical donations over, for example, if you have any old blankets and unwanted toys, however as we are only taking hand luggage and there are restrictions on taking medication over (such as dewormers) we are limited to what we can carry.
