Story
On the 29th May, I will be taking on an extreme wingwalking challenge at Rendcomb Airfield to raise funds for a new humanitarian and dawah initiative, Ojalá Solidaria.
This means I will be strapped securely to the top wing of a real aircraft whilst it flies through the air at high speed — thousands of feet above the ground — to raise awareness and support for this mission.
In June, I will be moving to South America to help support recently established and growing Muslim communities, beginning in Cartagena, Colombia, where I will be based for the first 3–6 months.
I have already put a ground team in place in Colombia and they are actively reaching remote areas near Cartagena. Alhamdulillah, the work has already grown to the point where we are outgrowing the current masjid space we are operating from.
Already, we are receiving individual case studies and support requests from recently reverted Muslims who are in need of Islamic materials, community support, transport assistance, and practical help.
The first stage of fundraising will go towards
* Providing Qur’ans and dawah material in Spanish
* Helping with transport so reverts can attend Jumu’ah
* Providing meals on Fridays in remote areas as part of ongoing dawah efforts
This project aims to:
* Support vulnerable and emerging Muslim communities
* Assist recently reverted Muslims with guidance and support
* Continue ongoing dawah activities across South America
* Provide Islamic resources in a region where Islam is growing rapidly
* Purchasing thobes and abayas and other islamic items to give to recently reverted Muslims.
100% of donations will go directly towards this project and activities on the ground.
I have sacrificed a great deal to carry out this mission for the sake of Allah SWT, and I genuinely need your support more than ever. Every donation, share, and dua helps make this possible.
May Allah reward everyone who contributes and supports this effort.
