We, (Rhiwbina & Pantmawr Local Conservative Councillor Jayne Cowan, Sybil Fowler of Rookwood Sound (Hospital Radio)/Friends of Tenovus Rhiwbina, and myself, Amanda Anderson of Tree Control Ltd.), are raising funds to purchase essential items such as toiletries for hospital in-patients in the Cardiff area.
Due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, and in order to protect patients and staff from exposure to infection, it has been necessary to restrict patient visiting.This has affected the flow into the hospitals of essential items such as soap, toothpaste, shower gel, anti-perspirant etc. NHS staff are themselves trying to obtain these items for their patients, at a time when all their energies are required to provide essential care. We would love to be able to help.
Whether we manage to reach or exceed our target, all funds raised will be used for the benefit of hospital in-patients/staff.
We intend to use the funds raised to buy items online ( in order to reduce transmission of this virus), and to have the orders delivered directly to the hospitals.
Irrespective of amount, your donation will be put to massive good use, and will be so gratefully received by someone who is currently in hospital at this very frightening time. We know that this is a ‘huge ask’ of people at a time when incomes are being impacted by this Pandemic, so if you are unable to donate- could you please share the link for us instead?
