I've raised £5000 to help Ormskirk Maternity and Neonatal Unit care for families dealing with loss and provide vital support in future rainbow pregnancies.

Sitting cradling Phoenix it is hard not to cry each time I look at him knowing the journey we have been on to get here.
Our very own rainbow baby, our ray of sunshine after the storm of grief which has defined us as a couple and a family for the last five years.
I’ve lost five babies including one at 20 weeks and baby Hendrix who lived for just 12 hours before he passed away after being born 14 weeks prematurely.
And I had almost given up all hope until outstanding care from the NHS, especially my amazing consultant Dr Alice Bird made it all possible and gave us our own rainbow.
Dealing with the loss of a baby is so hard and it happens to hundreds of women every day. Getting through a pregnancy after loss is equally challenging and support needs to be available to all families who need it.
The money you donate will buy a professional camera and provide training to help staff provide a lasting memory for grieving families when often this is the only thing they have to hold on to. It will also go to enhance and develop bereavement services at Ormskirk and District General Hospital and support mum's to be in future rainbow pregnancies.
Any extra money raised will go to charities such as SANDS, The Lullaby Trust and others who support families suffering loss and undertake vital research into the causes of miscarriage, neonatal death and stillbirth.
