Story

Dottie was Born on 22nd September 2021.

She was born at QMC 90 miles from home, here she spent all but 5 weeks of her life ( 2 at a different hospital).

She has genetic Wolf-hirschhorn syndrome, pulmonary vein stenosis , trachea bronchimalasia, she needed to be ventilated 24 hours a day.

She was the biggest fighter we knew, She had been put on life support 6 times in her 9 months stay in hospital and would not take things lying down.

She had a tracheostomy on 6/9/22 and was struggling after the surgery with her pain management, dystonia and oxygen levels. Unfortunately this lead to her struggling with her blood pressure dropping leading to 2 cardiac arrests ,but was brought back by effective, immediate CPR by the skilled doctors at QMC intensive care.

Afterwards, Unfortunately scans showed that her heart was severely damaged. Her right hand side was so large, it was stopping blood being pumped to her body. She had a blood transfusion and appeared to be responding well to weaning medication.

Sadly at 8:22am on September 14th, Dottie had another cardiac arrest. Despite immediate CPR, she was not responsive and died in Mummy's arms.

Dottie was loved by everyone who met her and had a massive personality and beautiful cleft smile.

She was moved to the butterfly suite at Andys Hospice in Grimsby.

we now need to help the family at their time of need, and to help them build a memorial for her and make memories with Beatrix which can help them to grieve for Dottie.

We also need to take away immediate financial worries at their time of need.
