Story
This link relates to multiple activities taking place to raise money for Robert.
On 24 April, my good friend, Steve Groom and I, will be cycling a lap of the Isle of Wight in 1 day and stopping at all the rugby clubs on the island. In total it’s roughly 70 miles of very hilly terrain.
On the 29th of June, Ian Marle is swimming a 2km swim called the seahorse swim at Studland Bay to raise money for Robert.
My aim is to raise £1,500 in support of Robert who has been diagnosed with Luekaemia. Robert is 15 years old and like most lads his age, he should be revising for his GCSE exams this summer. Robert has recently been diagnosed with Leukaemia and is due to start chemotherapy on a weekly basis.
Robert loves his rugby and plays in the under 16 squad I coach, at Ellingham and Ringwood. His diagnosis means he is unable to continue training and playing with the squad this season.
To help Robert through his recovery, I would like to raise sufficient funds to buy him a laptop, so he can continue his education online. I’d also like to put money towards a holiday or short break for him and his family when he is fit enough to travel.
If you are able to donate towards my fundraising, please do so, it will be greatly appreciated.
