I am raising funds in memory of my cousin Daniela who very recently lost her brave battle with breast cancer. Daniela will be so dearly missed by her husband Stefano, little ones Sara and Lorenzo, her brother Alessandro and parents Michele and Giuseppina. The funds raised will be donated to the Associzione Amici Dell'Hospice Di Lainate who provided exceptional care and kindness in Daniela's final days making them as comfortable as possible.

Never far from my thoughts are those no longer with us who showed exceptional bravery in their own fight with cancer, my dear wife Debbie, her Sister Sarah, their father Bob and my close friend Ritchie.

So this hopefully gives you a wee bit of context to why i am doing the Athens marathon in Greece on the 12th November. It will be my sixth marathon but one that I will be very honest I have done least preparation! If necessary I will crawl round to finish this one I assure you:)

Sto raccogliendo fondi in memoria di mia cugina Daniela che recentemente ha perso la sua coraggiosa battaglia contro il cancro al seno. Daniela sarà tanto cara al marito Stefano, ai piccoli Sara e Lorenzo, al fratello Alessandro e ai genitori Michele e Giuseppina. I fondi raccolti verranno assegnati all'Associazione Amici Dell'Hospice di Lainate che ha assistito Daniela negli ultimi suoi giorni.

Mai lontani dai miei pensieri sono quelli che non sono più con noi che mostravano coraggio eccezionale nella loro lotta contro il cancro, mia cara moglie Debbie, sua sorella Sarah, loro padre Bob e il mio amico Ritchie.

Per questo motivo ho deciso di partecipare alla maratona di Atene in Grecia il 12 novembre. Sarà la mia sesta maratona, ma quella per la quale ho fatto meno preparazione!
