As some of you might know, one of my oldest friends, Cianne Jones stepped out to Uganda 3 years ago to volunteer for a social development organisation and after seeing how much potential there was and how much work there was to do, she set up her own NGO to specifically upskill & empower women with education, traning and providing a platform to share their stories. Statistics show that when women are in positons of leadership, the whole community prospers, crime is down, literacy is up - go ladies!!

Her latest program focuses on upsklling women with computer skills. Being an online marketer for 10 years, I would like to think i have some valuable skills to share I will be heading to Uganda in November and want to fundraise before i go. Being online allows you to do anything from anywhere regardless of your background - its the most empowering skill to have in the world we live in today.

To put this into perspective, Mark Zuckerberg has just put $39m into Andela - an educational startup that teaches young Africans to code.

Now, i don't think we'll match that (ha! we can try?) but anything you can donate will help to provide, time, computers and training to provide women in Uganda a pathway to a better future. Please donate!
