Story

My cousin Raj was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was 2 years old. At that time, we were told Raj would not see his third birthday however with all the amazing work Dr. Jayamohan and the team at John Radcliffe Hospital did and everyone’s prayers and well wishes Raj saw in his 8th birthday in December 2017.

Raj has had 6 operations, intensive treatment of radiotherapy, chemo and also proton beam therapy in the USA. Last year, Raj qualified for an Immunotherapy trial at GOSH but unfortunately it has not worked as well as we hoped.

Despite everything that has been tried and tested the tumour just keeps coming back with a vengeance.

On Thursday 31st January 2018, we were told that this was the end of the line and apart from pain relief, Raj’s medication and treatment has ceased. We have been advised to now prepare for the worst and the next 2-3 months should be about spending time and creating memories. As you can imagine my family are devastated with the news.

My aunt's employer has been a great source of support along every step of the way but to support Raj she will be taking time off work and dedicating her time to making the most of the time she has with him.

So, I've set this crowd funding page up to ask for your support in helping to make Raj's time an enjoyable period. The rest of the world doesn't stop turning just because your own little world has but it would mean a lot to be able to support her with bills and arrangements when they need to be made.
