I will be flying to India in November and donating my time to local charities as part of VMware's service learning. In the past myself and my family have gone to India and donated to local charities or orphanages usually this has been money, food or clothes/blankets. I have seen first hand how a small donation can make a big difference to someone in India where the average daily wage is only 247 rupees (£2.70 per day).

Since joining VMware I have come across their amazing service learning program which allows you to take some time out and actually spend time with a charity of your choosing. I will be donating my own money (£1,000) this time round and would like to raise enough money to match my own donation so when I go to India I can make a difference to some more people in need.
