I've raised £6000 to improve access to potable water in Indigenous Cabécar territory of Costa Rica

We are raising £8,000 to support Raleigh Costa Rica Society new initiative aimed at fostering environmental sustainability and improving access to clean water in the Indigenous Cabécar Territory of Alto Chirripó.
"Change Starts Here: Water for Tolok Kicha" is an initiative that will take place between February and March 2025. The project aims to promote environmental sustainability and secure access to clean water for Tolok Kicha School and its surrounding indigenous community, located in the Cabécar territory of Alto Chirripó.
We will achieve this goal by focusing on three main components:
Environmental leadership and community volunteering: We will work with 15 young people from Costa Rica using our Greentalist methodology, recognised for its effectiveness in developing leadership and sustainability skills.
Education in sustainable practices: We will provide training for students and teachers at Tolok Kicha School on water resource conservation, sanitation, and environmental sustainability.
Water infrastructure: We will construct a water collection system to ensure a steady supply of drinking water, not only for the school but also for the community's families.
This project aims to create a lasting positive impact on the community. Your support will help make this vision a reality.
