I've raised £3000 to help secure funds for PlanB in the memory of my old school friend Dom Jackson

In February of this year a school friend of mine, Dom Jackson, died in a tragic accident at sea whilst kayaking in Scotland This accident could have been completely preventable had Dom been wearing a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB).
Dom died alone at sea in freezing conditions and no one knew of Dom’s disappearance until 36 hours after he’d gone missing. His body was found days later, more than 50 miles adrift of the primary search area.
The search for Dom involved the Police, RNLI, and Coastguard, who utilised helicopters, lifeboats and light aircraft. It was supported by scores of volunteers including his family who scoured the cliff tops hoping for the merest glimpse of him.
Now, his family are building Dom’s legacy, to raise awareness of accessible safety technology like PLBs so that others don’t share his fate, all information on this great cause can be found at: https://myplanb.life/
To raise money for this amazing cause I have committed to Run, Ride & Kayak 105 miles across the Scottish highlands on the 9th & 10th of September more details of the event can be found at http://ratrace.com/coasttocoast/ even tho i am the worst cyclist ever those who know me know the fear I have from sleeping in a tent!
Please support me and support Plan B.
