My name is Ralph and I am 9 years old I wanted to help my mum raise money for shieldus because I wanted to do something good for the community.

2.2 million people were asked to shield in the UK at the beginning of the first lockdown in 2020. Shielding was implemented to protect anyone who is considered clinically extremely vulnerable to covid 19. Chronic health conditions affect millions of people, there is little education and information available. ShieldUs is trying to raise awareness and is also funding vital mental health support with counselling sessions for anyone who is struggling, in order to carry on providing these sessions they are fundraising.

I have a lung disease therefore their mission means a lot to me. If all the people asked to shield were to hold hands we would span 930 miles. I will be walking running and cycling 70 miles over 14 days starting on the 22nd January to raise money. Please help us by sponsoring whatever you can no matter how small.
