Forgotten Indian Soldiers WWI – JustGiving Fundraiser

Help us honour the wounded Indian Army soldiers of WWI, who were cared for at Bournemouth’s military hospital.

Hundreds came to recover after fighting on the Western Front.

Twelve died in Bournemouth—far from home, their stories largely forgotten.

We’re launching a heritage project to uncover their names, stories, and sacrifice—

and to raise awareness through education, events, and a permanent memorial.

🕊 What Your Donation Supports:

• A memorial plaque beside Bournemouth War Memorial

• School workshops and heritage learning

• A short documentary and community exhibitions

This is not just South Asian heritage—it’s Bournemouth’s and Britain’s shared history.

Let’s ensure these brave men are forgotten no more.

💛 Please support us:

• Donate what you can

• Help us reach our £5,000 goal

Thank you for remembering them with us.
