Story
Samourne and middletown are set in the stunning countryside of warwickshire. A small community of residents that enjoy horse riding, walking, cycling and running. However over the past few years speeding has become an ever increasing concern. Most of the village is a 30mph zone yet people drive in excess of 50mph. We have had one resident who was knocked of their bike by a speeding motorist. So what can we do to ensure the safety of our road users? We are currently looking at several options and the most effective and safest seems to be a pinchpoint system in the road. If we can help to part fund this it will help our case when presenting to the council. Alongside our Community Speed Watch programme i think we can make a real difference.
