We're heading out as a building team for our second year to Rancho Hermosa. Nestled in beautiful hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean Rancho Hermosa is a registered orphan care facility for children who come to Rancho Hermosa from living on the streets of Tijuana and surrounding towns. They have lived with trauma, abandonment and things no child should ever have to experience. Run by One Generation Alliance (www.onegenerationalliance.org) in partnership with the local church, their dream is that the children not only survive, but thrive. It's their aim that everything they do revolves around the central heart of the home; raising the children to have a deep understanding of God’s life changing love for them. They believe that their children will not only be changed in their own story but will rewrite the story for future generations - replacing the cycle of poverty and abuse with stories of health, life and following Jesus. Rancho Hermosa will provide a safe home for these kids to live, learn and play, developing them into the young men and women God intended them to be.
