We are raising £20,000 for people in Nepal caught up in the disaster. We were all horrified by the videos of walls of water that destroyed everything in their path.

Our friend, Sunil’s village was completely destroyed with the loss of well over 100 of his relatives and friends. We met him when trekking in the Langtang in 2011 and he has arranged other treks for us. He has a degree in disaster recovery, and is doing a PhD in permafrost: both so relevant. We trust his judgement to use money wisely. Nothing will be spent on admin.

He is distributing your donations to families with huge needs. Parents have lost children; children have lost parents. They all have lost their homes, everything they possessed, even the land they lived on. He has managed to reach his village, but there is nothing there.
