I've raised £2000 to purchase much needed ground equipment and for Mind the Mental Health Charity

Members of Market Rasen Town Cricket Club are attempting to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 1st October 2022. The challenge is to complete the 26-mile circuit within 12 hours, ensuring you win the race back to base before the sun sets.
A team of 18 are tackling this challenge for two worthy causes. Firstly, half of the money raised will be going to Mind the mental health charity, a charity close to the heart of some of our members who have previously experienced mental health issues. It’s likely that in some stage of our lives, people will struggle with mental health issues, through one form or another. Although many people seek help and find a path to recovery, unfortunately many people don’t! Mind do great work, lobbying governments to change policies, providing help and support and creating awareness within society. We want to provide some funds towards the amazing work we do.
The other half of the money will be going towards the purchase of a new cricket roller. Unfortunately, just as this season started our trusted old 1950’s heavy roller finally packed in on us. A cricket roller is a vital piece of ground equipment for any club, as it compacts the ground and ensures the pitches, we play on offer a true and consistent bounce. Thankfully this season we have loaned a roller to provide us with a temporary solution, however long term we need to source our own machine. This roller ensures our pitches at Rase Park are in the best condition possible for all of our senior and junior teams. Without one we are unable to offer the quality pitches and facilities our paying members deserve.
If you could spare any money, you have and give generously, that would be much appreciated. A 26-mile hike across Yorkshire’s three highest peaks is no easy task.
