After the tragic death of my friend and colleague Matt Ratana, I created the 10k as a virtual event to raise some funds for Matt's partner and to give 'Headspace' for people to manage their thoughts over the loss of Matt.

I had no idea of the scale of what was about to happen and before I knew it we had just under 3000 entrants.

I then set up the event again in 2021 learning from the previous one and used the assistance of Kustom Clothing to produce the shirts and create a website www.ratana10k.com. There again was a massive interest and on that occasion we had 3150 runners.

So far the event has raised over £99,000.

He we are again 2022 - We can now run in groups and the medal this year is epic and based on the silhouette created for Matt at East Grinstead Rugby club, not only that, it is a bottle opener, fridge magnet and a lanyard . The event shirt is Black this year and we are so excited to get running with others and I am sure we will see many new pictures on our facebook page Ratana 10k.
