Story

i am hoping to run the London or Brighton marathon and raise funds for cancer research, i lost my brother to lung cancer just before lockdown, he had a massive stroke at home and lost all communication skills, the doctors told us he had stage 4 lung cancer and was probably to weak to recieve any treatment, 9 weeks later he sadly lost his fight, my brother in law had a rare form of skin cancer on the top of his head, the surgeons removed half of his scalp to get rid of the tumor and had to replace the skin lost from his head with a graft from his back, the cancer spread and 3 years later we sadly lost him, but not without a brave fight, my brother in law lost his father last year to lung cancer, he carried on as normal and lived his life to the full, he had a great saying “there is always hope” a very close friend of ours has stomach cancer, she was told last week she had 2 days to live, she is still fighting, my father has just been told he has pancoast lung cancer that cannot be opperated on, we are still at the stage where the doctors are deciding what treatment they can give him and we remain very hopeful, this can’t happen without money, so id like to raise crucial funds to help fight this terrible disease that tears families apart, please try to help, even the tiniest amount makes all the difference.
