THIS FUNDRAISING PAGE IS IN HONOUR OF RAY GRIFFITHS WITH THE AIM OF BUILDING ON HIS EXTENSIVE LEGACY IN THE FIELD OF NUTRITION. LIZ GREENWAY AND ANGELA HENDERSON HAVE THE AIM OF CREATING A RESOURCE OF RAY'S WORK AND IN SO DOING INSPIRING A PLATFORM FOR CREATIVE DEVELOPMENTS BASED ON HIS CONTRIBUTIONS.

On 25 February 2025, the world of nutritional medicine lost one of its most insightful and passionate voices with the passing of Ray Griffiths. Ray’s work left a lasting impression on the fields of mitochondrial health and neurodegenerative disease, especially Parkinson’s. His ability to translate cutting-edge science into clinically useful guidance was second to none, and his warm, generous nature left an imprint on all who had the privilege of learning from him.

To honour Ray’s memory and ensure that his valuable work continues to educate and inspire, Ray’s wife Liz Greenway, and colleague, friend and nutritional therapist Angela Henderson are raising funds to create and maintain a dedicated, dynamic website that will bring together his books, webinars, and educational materials. This online resource will initially serve nutrition practitioners and students, but we would like to expand into a wider hub for clinicians and researchers working in the fields of mitochondrial health and nutritional interventions for Parkinson’s disease. The funds raised will help to pay for the website design and hosting, and maintain it on an ongoing basis.

Ray was a dedicated educator and practitioner, with over 20 years of clinical experience. He lectured on nutritional therapy degree programmes, provided CPD for healthcare professionals, and was a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences. His talent for making complex biological systems relevant and practical for clinical application made him a trusted and much-loved teacher, and he leaves behind an important legacy in the form of his books: "Mitochondria in Health and Disease", "Parkinson's Disease: An In-Depth Metabolic Guide", and "Depression: The Mind-Body, Diet and Lifestyle Connection", as well as his CPD webinars and articles.

This initiative aims to preserve and extend Ray’s legacy—to keep his insights alive and accessible for future generations of health professionals who share his vision for personalised, evidence-based care, and to promote further research and publications in the fields close to his heart.

Ray’s intellect, humility, humour, and heartfelt commitment to helping others will be deeply missed. Through this project, we hope to ensure that his impact continues to grow.
